Rape Declaration Forum Radio Program
was concieved by the late visoinary Artist Don Vance. Through his work with Models he saw over and over how it deeply affected most victims of rape and sexual abuse.
One common thread he found was the fact that the victims were rarely even heard. Don Vance along with his girlfriend News Reporter Rebecca Myles began to brainstorm.
Rebecca Myles decided to produce and host Rape Declaration Forum )RDF) on WBAI"s NYC 99.5 Fm International Working Women history Day over10 years ago.
Jay Grayce who was a friend of Don Vance's and she apprehensively agreed to share her story of survival for the first time on air.
Jay-Grayce is a seasoned counselor for victims of violent crimes That unfortunately had become a rape victim herself a few years ago.
She was devistated and had beome as she described "a walking, talking breathing ghost" It was on that nigt of the program airing that she credits the begining of her transition from Victim to feeling like a Survivor!

RDF's importance was felt immediately by everyone involved. Jay -Grayce was encouraged to become part of the producing and Co-Hosting the program which she continues to do with passion and vigor along with rebecca Myles.
Myles and Grayce know the value of having this prigram on air.
And they are very appreciative that Wbai 99.5 Fm understands it as well and has provided them a medium to do so!
